This article introduces d3.express, an interactive notebook for doing reactive programming in JavaScript for data visualization. It's not complete yet, but code is on Github.
Anyway, this is a very cool thing I've always wanted to build (and made some incomplete attempts). It seems like Elm might be a good fit, though compilation would have to happen on the server.
