Regarding HP DL 380 G4 Compaq Computer Corporation Smart Array 64xx
[0e11:0046]:
   - This only supports 32-bit processors, correct?  You'll need to either find
a supported distro (i.e. https://archlinux32.org/) or try something
experimental like this:
https://forums.rockylinux.org/t/rocky-linux-9-for-32-bit-i686/16312
   - The Smart Array 64xx [0e11:0046] is supported by the old cciss driver.
You'll have to figure out which route you want to go for Linux first.

Regarding HP DL 380 G6 Hewlett-Packard Company Smart Array G6 controllers
[103c:323a] rev 01:
   - These use Intel Xeon X56xx CPU's, so that is x86-64-v2 and will officially
be supported up to EL9
   - The Smart Array G6 controllers [103c:323a] should supported by the ELRepo
kmod-hpsa (see https://elrepo.org/wiki/doku.php?id=deviceids#kmod-hpsa)

Good luck and happy holidays!

Hi !

In a few weeks I expect to “retire” 2 old servers from their current duties.

HP DL 380 G6 Hewlett-Packard Company Smart Array G6 controllers [103c:323a] rev

On the G6, I guess the driver for running el8 or el9 should be dd-hpsa-3.4.20
from elrepo (if not, please correct me).

What about the G4? I believe the server is running with the cciss module. What
would be the correct one to download?

Since EL9 has a base requirement of x86_64-v2 and those are positively
historic machines I would not expect either of them to boot an EL9 kernel at
all.

 Trevor
