Markus I am having what I believe to be a similar problem in that I have a perfect picture but no sound in mythtv and a really bad picture and no sound in the tvtime that I compiled from the instructions on the em28xx site.
I cannot do a channel scan in mythtv from what I've seen and read I think this is because the scan is doing one in NTSC. If I add a channel manually and in the addition tell the mythtv system to use the default standard which I have set to PAL-I, I end up with a strange garbled picture. If I set the setting to PAL on the individual channel then I get a perfect picture but no sound. Is there a way to set the tuner to default to PAL-I as this doesn't appear as an option In mythtv on the individual channel settings in the mythtv channel editor. I live in a part of Ireland With no DVB but hope that may change some day.
