This is a bug that needs to be fixed. In emacs 21/22 (set-background-
color) was "enhanced" to accept only named colors. I think there's a
workaround that I found at one point, but I forgot what it is since I
don't usually use transparent windows. Maybe try
defaults write Emacs Background (some ARGB color)
(quit emacs first, then restart afterward).
great work, by the way. i can't believe this has been out for
months...
(Trying to keep it quiet until I or someone else has time to fix more
of the problems.. ;)
