I may be missing something obvious: how can I get recent sources for
emacs to compile on MacOSX?

The 9.0-pre2 tar file includes everything and compiles fine
(emacs-23.0.0_NS-9.0pre2). The emacs source files in that tar file are
from savannah.gnu.org, tagged/branched to emacs-unicode-2. A cvs
update on these files can be done. But the nextstep/ subdir is not
under cvs control, so will not be updated.

The web page mentions that once one has the tar file, "you should be
able to use the diff+mini option in the future, as long as you keep
the checkout updated with occasional "cvs up -d""

What is the diff+mini option exactly?

Thanks
Florent
