On my G4 it crashes with: Fatal error (11)Segmentation fault

One RC1 version can build up in Terminal a primary window with a mode- 
line and crashes then, after some seconds of nothing happening, with  
segmentation fault.


The temacs that results from compilation, is in version 23.0.0 for  
the X client 3,861,608 bytes while for Emacs.app it's 6,841,548  
bytes. On a G4.
