If I execute "toggle-input-method", select for example "latin-9-
prefix", and then enter a double quote (") plus the character "o", the
input method should result in a "ö" character being inserted. However,
instead of that character being inserted into the buffer, it turns up
in the minibuffer as "ö-", indicating Emacs is waiting further input.
(It seems to consider "ö" as a prefix keybinding.)
What is happening here? This is probably not the expected behavior
right? I'm trying to figure out how to enter latin-1/9 characters in
this version of Emacs.
