Just found out I'm able to replicate this in an X11 build from the
same source as rc3.  I don't update from GNU CVS that often (too many
unknowns as far as what will come in, good or bad) so am not sure if
this persists in recent CVS.  If someone can test this w/latest CVS
and report a bug to the emacs unicode developers if so, that would be
great.
