This is overkill - making the interface more complex for no good reason.

For a customize page with currently 15 values, your suggestion
would raise that to 60

And for a face with 10 attributes, your would show 40 attributes...


As far as I understand the current discussion on Customize, the aim
is to simplify the interface and make the behaviour more in line
with that of other applications.

Your suggestion goes in the opposite direction.  I vote against going
down this route!
