The sad truth, IMHO, is that this ``feature freeze'' is not enforced seriously enough. It's true that lots of efforts goes into updating the manuals, but in the meantime well-meaning people are committing changes that are IMHO unnecessary, in the name of a so-called ``cleanup''.
