This seems to be a FAQ, but can something be done about getting Emacs to show its own icon on the GNOME desktop?
See for example <https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=149512>. FWIW it displays fine under KDE last I tested it. Any ideas on how to fix this? Someone suggested that Emacs should set _NET_WM_ICON under X.
