The server is mostly python-based (see Language stats in https://github.com/hypothesis/h). They provide HTTP API: https://h.readthedocs.io/en/latest/api-reference/. There is even elisp package utilising that API: https://github.com/Kungsgeten/hypothesis/blob/master/hypothesis.el Best, Ihor
