Example: cd PATHTOORGMODE git remote -v git remote add olderrepo https://code.orgmode.org/bzg/org-mode.git git remote -v git fetch olderrepo 'refs/tags/*:refs/tags/*' git remote remove olderrepo git remote -v Enjoy the tags in your local repo! I guess the maintainers will push the right tags to the new repo soon.
