thank you for replying.

I am using Emacs on macOS (Sequoia 15.6.1, ARM).
org is at version 9.7.11 and emacs 30.2.

Your example also gives me the same error I experienced with my examples.

I am using doom emacs, but now also removed my config.org and started it up in 
Vanilla with a minimal config:

;; minimal init.el

;; Enable org-babel languages
(org-babel-do-load-languages
 'org-babel-load-languages
 '((plantuml . t)))

;; Set PlantUML jar path (adjust path as needed)
(setq org-plantuml-jar-path 
"/opt/homebrew/Cellar/plantuml/1.2025.7/libexec/plantuml.jar")

I will try a newer version of emacs and org-mode.
