Detangling requires at least both *link* and *source name* to properly locate the source block. I have this line in my literate file as well: #+begin_quote However, these links are *not* pointing to the actual source block referred by the Noweb reference. Instead, they point to the outermost block. #+end_quote Therefore, the link itself does not suffice the minimal amount of information needed for detangling. Just add to this, regexp is not that powerful to handle many nuanced cases, so it's not meant to allow arbitrary combination of the fields in comment format.
