It is conceptually dvisvgm, but svisvgm has latex hard-coded, so it is
not different (other than the name).

In any case, my thinking is simple:

1. The patch was an improvement
2. new latex preview system is in the works for very long time
3. new latex preview will be breaking anyway
4. So, merge it and change things if/when new latex preview is merged.

For you, it should not change much. You already had to change dvisvgm
entry in that list in the patch to avoid forcing latex. The only
additional change that might be needed is providing an alias that entry.
But you don't need to worry about that now. Let's first finish the
review that is ongoing. I will do a pass on possible
backwards-compatibility improvements later in the review.
