Dear Orgsters,

Over in Emacs Bug#74994 I've been working on a new iCalendar library for
Emacs, which has recently been merged to master. That means that,
starting with Emacs 31, Emacs' iCalendar support will be a lot more
capable. This opens up a few possibilities for Org:

1) Using the new library in ox-icalendar to export iCalendar format
2) Building an Emacs-native iCalendar-to-Org *importer*
3) Displaying iCalendar data directly in Org agenda

I don't have much time at the moment to work on these things myself, but
if anyone here is interested in working on them, I'm happy to provide
guidance on the new library.

If you're interested, you'll need Emacs built from git master. The new
library's files are in lisp/calendar. A good place to start would be
reading through diary-icalendar.el, which does all three of these things
for the Emacs diary. Happy hacking!
