Looks like we need to re-open this thread. The situation is getting worse this year with more DDOS and LLM crawlers hitting GNU infrastructure. The admins now have to resort to extremely aggressive measures, blocking whole residential IP ranges (because of botnets) and even users of wget. They also prefer complete blocks over JS-base queries, increasing co-lateral damage even more.
