I suggest following https://orgmode.org/manual/Installation.html

I doubt it will work. In the past I did so for another bug on ORG which
was fixed and that time it worked doing as I did today.

FYI, Emacs version of Org has several changes on top of the development
branch. So, simple rsync is not guaranteed to work.
You may also need to do make bootstrap to avoid loading stale .elc files.

The method you propose is good for a developer but I am just an
occasional user. In any case if I would have time I will try..

The git clone method is what many users use. In any case, we can work
with what you reported, if the instructions are hard to follow.

Ok, I did this (on Windows MSYS2/UCRT64 Emacs master built on 04 Oct. 2026):

cd ~/.emacs.d/
git clone https://https.git.savannah.nongnu.org/git/org-mode.git
export PATH="PAT_TO/Emacs/bin:$PATH"
make autoloads

then I added to init.el

(add-to-list 'load-path "~/.emacs.d/org-mode/lisp")

After this I did the tests described here: https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/emacs-orgmode/2026-10/msg00184.html obtaining the same issues!

Do not ask me to test more.

I build Emacs from master once a month, so the next month I will see if this will work.

Thanks,
  Angelo.
