Hi,
In the last couple of weeks I have been very busy using ox-beamer to
generate ltx-talk presentations with quite a good success.
Recently I bumped into a little problem with equation tables.
I needed the align and align* environments and these are not compatible
with the math or inline-math modes as understood by the Org exporter. In
the current state (main), the backend will add \[\] and \(\) around
these environments. I remove this extra math inlining when the
environment is either align or align*. I wonder if we should introduce a
plain-math mode to mark this peculiarity explicitly, instead of silently
removing them. There might be other environments that don't like the
extra inlining.
In parallel, if you look at the fontspec3 branch, I removed all the
DOC_LANGS stuff and made \DocumentMetadata interpret %l as a
placeholder for the language code for the main language (just like the
hyperref template does).
I have also removed extras languages from LANGUAGE and introduced a
general OTHER_LANGUAGES keyword. I feel it will be helpful for other
exporters when they are ready and not just a peculiarity of the latex
exporter.
Finally, after some extra experimentation, I have removed the :setter
from the packages variables, because the :setter and :getter do the same
and by removing the setter we also remove the problem with setopt-local.
Give LATEX_PREVIEW some time to settle and then we could try to start
with the merger of fontspec3.
Best, /PA
