I have tried the snippet on my end. I cannot reproduce this bug. Org-mode version 7.4 (release_7.4.165.gca0e6) GNU Emacs 24.0.50.1 (i386-apple-darwin9.8.0, NS apple-appkit-949.54) of 2011-01-14 on braeburn.aquamacs.org - Aquamacs Distribution 3.xdev
I highly recommend upgrading org-mode.
