To check the invisible parts of an Org link here are some alternatives to Fundamental mode that stay in Org mode: 1) M-x org-toggle-link-display 2) M-x visible-mode (also toggling) 3) temporarily delete the first "[" or last "]" of the Org link and undo 4) C-c C-l with point on the Org link to show the link part in the minibuffer Michael
