It seems to mostly have to do with shell buffers, commands that
generate lots of output, and yes, editing/manipulating large (I
wouldn't say huge) text files.
Could you please be more specific?
Shell buffers:
I may have been mistaken, sorry.
Commands that generate lots of output:
Execute (shell-command (concat "ogg123 " your-favorite-ogg-file "&"))
Look in *Async Shell Command* to see the output - there is a lot
of it.
Editing/manipulating large text files:
Download http://www.ma.utexas.edu/~jcorneli/a/elisp/FEM.el and get
rid of the advice for `set-buffer'. Note: I am not quite ready to
officially release this code, but it should be within a week or two.
