problems with latest CVS emacs under Mac OS X (carbon variant)

Any time the cursor is over a toolbar icon or an image inside a buffer, 
emacs beeps and produces the following error message:

recursive-edit: Symbol's function definition is void: 
mouse-fixup-help-message

I don't know if this is related, but at startup I get a number of 
warnings like the following:
