The strangeness I observed was that I typed C-x C-k and nothing happened. Without reading half a megabyte of NEWS, it's not clear that this has turned into a prefix key -- it isn't echoed as such. I.e. I see `C-x C-k' in the echo area, not `C-x C-k-' (as in a previous report which someone could reproduce and others couldn't).
