It's turning itself off in ALL buffers.

I believe this is the original error triggering the other error.

If this means what I think it means, it follows that Which Function mode
cannot possibly work in the *Occur* buffer. So it turns itself off
in that buffer.
So why is that wrong? Where is the bug?
