To avoid more confusion, I want to remind that the initial complaint
was about link buttons in the Help buffer created by
describe-text-properties
which uses buttons from wid-edit.el without mouse-face on them.
I think it would be clearer to have mouse-face on them. In fact, I am
not convinced it is ever a good idea for any kind of link or button in
Emacs to use a mouse-pointer change instead of mouse-face. It is
inconsistent. Inconsistency can be acceptable when there are benefits,
but I see no benefits.
