Man-bgproc-sentinel: Can't find the Font::AFM.3pm manpage
I can't reproduce that. Can you debug it?
I've some clue: doing an 'apropos AFM' first I get among others:
Font::AFM(3pm) - Interface to Adobe Font Metrics files
while locate returns:
/usr/share/man/man3/Font::AFM.3pm
Positioning the cursor in "Font::AFM(3pm)" gives a perfect man page!
Positioning the cursor in "/usr/share/man/man3/Font::AFM.3pm" gives the
error I reported!
In the first case *Messages* contains:
Loading man (source)...done
» Der Gegenstand von Zeile 692 ist 3pm Font::AFM
Invoking man 3pm Font::AFM in the background
» In Zeile 971 Man-bgproc-sentinel geht ab!

» In Zeile 1010 sind Man-fontify-manpage oder Man-cleanup-manpage

» In Zeile 1010 ist die Man-page-list nil
Loading tabify...done
» In Zeile 1011 ist die Man-page-list ((#<marker at 1 in *Man 3pm

let: Can't find the Font::AFM.3pm manpage
It's obvious that the line that contained the argument(s) to man was
scanned incorrectly when only the file name of the man page was given
('Font::AFM.3pm' instead of '3pm Font::AFM'). The same error happens I
present that file name to man:
/usr/share/man/man1/ls.1
Could be I am not reporting a bug but requesting a feature ...
