Thanks for including replace-regexp-in-string in the elisp manual. However, it seems to me that the entry is misplaced. Now it appears in the node: Search and Replace. In the superior node: Searching and Matching it says
* Search and Replace:: Internals of `query-replace'. replace-regexp-in-string is clearly not an internal of query-replace. So I believe it would be more appropriate to mention this function elsewhere. I suggest the node: Regexp Search. Or would it be better to change the description of the node: Search and Replace in the superior node: Searching and Matching to something more general? Right now, the node: Search and Replace doesn't have an introductory paragraph saying that this node discusses the internals of query-replace. The node: Replace Match below the node: Match Data seems to be misplaced, too. Wouldn't it be better to make it a subnode of the superior node: Searching and Matching?
