We have just seen one incident [this thread in fact] where preloading
a file with a keymap defined with a defconst would eventually lead to
a GC error due to modifying pure objects.
That was due to a combination of two bugs, and I think both
of them are now fixed. Perhaps we should also change defconst
not to purify the value. I asked someone to check how much
space that would affect.
