I often see inexplicable errors after doing "make bootstrap". I've
found that, horrible though it sounds, they all go away if I
_completely delete_ my CVS directory, and get a clean checkout, and
start over. I guess there's some flaw in the makefile somewhere that
causes it to fail to rebuild something important.
Next time this happens, could you do ls -lt on some directories,
and see if any non-source file is old?
