I guess what Richard suggested initially: run under GDB, with a breakpoint at the line in floor which signals this error. I think it's enough to put a breakpoint on Fsignal. You can look at the lisp backtrace with `xbacktrace' but this way you can also examine values in the C backtrace to see what's going wrong. Maybe there's some memory corruption.
