If Mandriva says the system is "Linux", they are misleading you. What
you are using is the GNU system, with Linux as the kernel (see
http://www.gnu.org/gnu/linux-and-gnu.html). Please don't call the
system "Linux".
command i do "src/emacs -q " and I get an emacs without window. It uses the
terminal display not its own window.
It sounds like ./configure did not realize that your system has X11 in it.
Why that happened, I can't guess; you would have to investigate.
Also when I press F10 to display the menu it appears "f==>File"
hit"f" to open the File menu a get this mesage " Symbol's value as variable
is void: menu-updating-frame.
I understand that problem, and I will work on it.
