Hi all, I made some more backtraces [1], which are much shorter now (no clue why...).
And I found a way to enforce the problem to occur. Whenever I open a lisp file (elisp or CL) emacs goes crazy nearly instantly. With normal text files without highlighting the problem never occurs that fast, if at all. Other modes / files don't trigger the bug, too, or at least not that fast. I opened some haskell (with haskell-mode from haskell.org) and ruby (with ruby-mode which comes with the ruby tarball) files, scrolled, edited, marked, killed, but nothing happened.
