I would feel a "pressure" too if nobody agreed with me :-)

Everybody else who have expressed an opinion on this issue
here seem to agree that your decision is wrong.

But it _also_ have the risk of false matches!

Exactly.

And as we get more and more of such gadgets/ways of sharing files,
the implications of this bug will grow ...
