Yeah, what new format?
The two latest changes to index formatting in Info output that I can
recall were these:
- line numbers included in index menus, so Info readers can go to
the exact line of an entry, not just a node. Also in plaintext output.
- [EMAIL PROTECTED]@^H] cookie included in index menus, so Info readers
can handle the ] etc. commands better.
These changes were made for Texinfo 4.7, released 9 April 2004. And
they were made specifically for Emacs!
