I was going through the ido customize group today, and I noticed the ido-ignore-directories (and ido-ignore-files) variables ignore CVS metadata, but not other paths conventionally used for SCM metadata. Emacs seems to already have a list of SCM metadata paths in vc-directory-exclusion-list; perhaps these should be synced? -- Trent Buck
