My colleague Chris Yeoh discovered that setting rcp-rsh-end-of-line to "\r" makes rcp.el work well on Debian machines. Great! That sounds strange. I have always used ssh.el, then rcp.el, from a debian box at home to a debian box at work, and I have never had end-of-line problems. Or they were well hidden, at least.
