Hrm. Kai, it looks like I am seeing some lossage in the detection code
for the coding system frobbing here in XEmacs 21.2. I had not a chance
to finish chasing it up here, and have no access to test machines right
now. :/
Er, the issue looked like a failure to detect the correct line
transformation, etc, though. I will investigate further 'til I get rid
of the guesswork I have though.
