That eventually also led to Motif becoming "Open" too, probably in combination with LessTif being good enough implementation of Motif; albeit it was too late for Motif to be relevant.
If you don't mind me asking; I am just curious, was LessTif not an alternative because of LGPL license, or some other reason?
