some say that GNOME is mostly funded by RedHat and IBM, but, I’m not
sure about this.  Anyway, I’m not so much happy about the decisions the
new RadHat was making in recent years.  I’d not like that company to be
the main sponsor of Gnome.  Besides, I think the recent decisions Gnome
has made was not so much user-friendly either.

Sure.  In my mind, buying free software with an emphasis on ‘it being
a free/libre product’ has similarities to donation.  Perhaps, it’s even
better than donation, I don’t know.
