Well, my last two posts didn't show up yet (it's been a few days) but
hopefully this one will...

I was very excited to find the function for renaming a link (C-c C-r)
but terribly disappointed to find that it does not rename the links
throughout the wiki. This came up in 2004 on the list, I believe,
when a bug was fixed:

http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/emacs-wiki-discuss/2004-10/msg00050.html

May I put in a very strong plea for being able to rename all the
links? I've been using wiki's for a few years now and I have always
need to change wiki page names from time to time. Not only that, but
I would really like to use page name changes functionally, which would
solve a lot of problems for me and make things work smoothly.

In the meantime I think I will do this with search and replace, and
perhaps write a little macro for selecting current word plus the [[
and ]] and replacing it everywhere in my plans directory with the new
version, plus renaming the file itself using C-c C-r. Has anyone done
this or anything like this before and have any tips for me? I'm so
new to emacs that it will take me a long time to work out how to do
this, although I am sure it can be done.

Thank you,
Geraldine
