I'll just add that if you can't hear all this crap about minimalism and zen bullshit with a straight face, remember Edward Tufte on the iPhone: He praised it for the lack of "computer administrative debris", and that's what the new-agey-hack-sounding words point at. And this is a very valid goal. Interact direct with the content as much as possible. Certainly, WriteRoom doesn't have _any_ computer administrative debris in the composition UI.
