I got to the link.. the laughs just keep getting better. And of course, like every nazi christian site, they have the tokenism "Halloween is the devil's holiday" speech. I find these ever so amusing, because they are spouted by supposed experts on Christianity... and if they were such experts, then they should know what they tought me in 2nd grade catholic school. Halloween is "All Hallows Eve", the night before All Saints Day. The purpose to dressing in scarey costumes is to scare away evil, leaving the lands clean and clear for the spirits to rise Nov 1st and make their assention into Heaven. That's right, their Anti-Halloween crusade is really going to keep good spirits from entering heaven... that is if you believe these things. If not you can look at the historical nature and see that Halloween is just another Christian co-op of an earlier seasonal festival. Much like... dare I say... Christmas (read the bible, Jesus was born in the summer... NOT winter... a more aprapo date would be August 25th). Easter... yup... spring solstice... which they conviently didn't even reassign what its purpose was. Spring Solstice was to celebrate the renewal of life... Easter celebrates the resurection of Jesus. But again... this is all only if you believe in it. You could just as rightly say the whole thing is BS, or that Christians are correct, and that the other previous religions (that predate christianity by thousands of years), were all just on the right track, but didn't have it 100%... after all, truth is truth. Or you can be like me... and just laugh about the whole thing. OMG... sorry, I just read further down on the Halloween page. This site actually ENCOURAGES and RECOMMENDS tampering with halloween candy before giving it out. They tell you to remove the label from KitKat Bars, write pro-christian, bible passages on the inside, then reattach the lable to make it look like nothing was done! Now who is spreading subliminal propaganda not to mention, if I found candy like that in my neice's or nephews bags... A: they would not be permitted to return to that house, B: I would have words with the owner, and C: the candy would be turned over to my sister the cop to investigate... you don't mess with things being given to kids to eat... PERIOD! Sorry... just had to spread some of the laughter! -chris <http://www.mythtech.net> ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
