The key in my message is no compression on sending end. I did not
try sending from AOL. I put Base 64 information into the message to
complete it (compression and encoding) and to stop questions about which
compression was used, not because it is some great discovery.
The details of each compression, and the advantages of Base 64, have
been reviewed here several times.
Also, I know of at least two new subscribers to the list who would
not have information considered common knowledge by long timers.
