Yeah, mine does this death *beee-grrhh* kind of noise rather than the normal two tone *be-doop*. It sounds like it is getting cut off after the first part of the normal two tone. (Maybe OS X is choking it to shut it up... that is about what it sounds like) AIM for OS X does that also. The normal disconnect wind down noise only plays the very beginning of it, and then gets cut off.
