I'm curious. Is this a new problem? What part of the country are you in? (I'm guessing USA somewhere based on the email address, but that could be a wrong assumption). How is the weather there? (no not being friendly, its a serious question). How is the temperature in the room the iMac is running in? I ask this because I have a consistant problem with my iMac (400Mhz DV SE) every summer. It appears to overheat the USB circuits and blinks out. The most noticable symptom is the mouse freezes, but really, everything on the USB bus dies). It is definitly heat related in my case, although I can reduce the frequency with which it occurs by unplugging everything but the keyboard/mouse from my USB connections. If you unplug the mouse and plug it back in, does it come back to life? Watch when the mouse freezes, does the caps lock light on the keyboard blink when it happens (just a single blink as the mouse freezes up). -chris <http://www.mythtech.net> ___________________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe send a mail message with a SUBJECT line of "unsubscribe" to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> or <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
