On or about 8/9/02 5:27 PM Jean-Pierre Smith AKA [EMAIL PROTECTED] eruditely mused the following:
>>>I've been monitoring my SPAM recently and last week I received 237 >>>unsolicited messages (slightly higher than average), including 107 html >>>messages as an attachment (the "strip enclosures" applescript dumps them >>>but is slow and a real pain go through the process). >> >>Forward all spam to [EMAIL PROTECTED] I even use that to "unsubscribe". I get >>limited spam because this nips it in the bud, they go after them. > >Great idea. Can anyone suggest how to automate that thing, in conjunction >with the now famous "shred messages v2" script by D. Cortright. The idea >would be to scan suspected spam in the spam file, select by control-click >those you want to permanently delete, (1) run a "Forward to [EMAIL PROTECTED]" >script on this selection and (2) run the "shred messages" on them. TIA There is a "Report Spam" AppleScript written by Sam Dean that would need modification to ONLY respond to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>. The current version of the script also pulls out domains from the headers and creates two emails that reply to the postmasters@ address as well as making an email to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>. You can find it at: <http://www.elegantchaos.com/software/index.html>.
