If that is the case, what happens when one recipient trys to reply to 
all? Will that reply go to all 73, or just to those that shared his/her 
copy?

I got this warning when I used to send mail to a large group of 
recipients from my high school class. I had the impression that one group 
of recipients were not seeing that I had addressed my post to a larger 
group, and replies from one group of addressees were not going to the 
other group, and this inhibited discussion.
