There was some talk recently touching on this subject but I don't think
anyone ever actually discussed the following problem.

I have recently spent quite alot of time going through my Emailer folder
changing subject headings with the idea that I would then created
subfolders for each of the most discussed subjects. To do so I opened
the last mail, changed its subject to, say "OS X - Hung Messages" and
clicked on the Back button. A dialogue box came up asking me if I really
wanted to make changes, and I clicked Yes and then proceeded to click
back through many mails, changing the subject and clicking the Back
button. There were no other dialogue boxes and I slightly wondered why
but did not investigate right away.

Finally I realized that after the first change all my subsequent changes
had not been saved.

Is there an efficient way to change Subjects serially (after the fact -
there are alot of subjects to be changed!) without closing and opening
each mail? Of course the the mail to be open in order to change the name
(and in order to know what to change it to).

Thanks for any tips,

Tannis
